At Collin Allen Child Development Center (CACD), we believe in the value and uniqueness of each child and family we serve. Our center experience is designed to promote each child’s own individual social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. As caregivers and educators, our mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment, which fosters a child’s instinct to explore, discover, create, and become a lifelong learner.
Philosophy
Collin Allen Child Development Center’s philosophy is based on children of all abilities in an inclusive environment, emphasizing acceptance of individual differences and ability levels. For children with special needs, inclusion facilitates developmental processes through exposure to role modeling of social, language, and physical skills via interactions with typically developing peers. We also believe that typically developing children gain solid interpersonal skills, including self -confidence, acceptance, empathy, and communication. Inclusion allows all children to relate and interact with peers in play and daily routines, engaging in experiences that promote the development of self-help skills, self-control, and understanding that others have different backgrounds and perspectives than themselves.
Each day with us will be a chance for your child to grow socially, cognitively, emotionally, and physically. As early as infancy, your child will be provided with learning opportunities adapted to fit his or her age, developmental stage, and learning style. Full-day, year-round care and all-day preschool in one location makes it possible for you to provide your child with the care and education that will help them become happy, healthy lifelong learners.
Parent Resources
Collin Allen Child Development Center is more than just a learning environment—it serves as a vital hub of support for our families. We are committed to fostering strong connections between families and essential community resources. Within our administrative office, parents and family members can access a variety of support services, including assistance with tax preparation, nutrition education, job placement, and further educational opportunities. Through strategic community partnerships, we aim to provide families with the tools and guidance needed to enhance their overall well-being.
Our goal is to create a welcoming space where families feel supported in every aspect of their journey. Whether seeking employment resources, financial guidance, or health and wellness programs, we strive to connect parents with the right services to meet their needs. By maintaining strong community relationships and continuously expanding our network of support, Collin Allen Child Development Center remains dedicated to uplifting families and ensuring their long-term success.
Program Evaluations
CACD asks parents to complete a program evaluation annually. The information gathered from these anonymous surveys is used by the staff to develop goals for our center and to improve the overall quality of care at our center. A parent’s point of view is different from a teacher’s point of view. Therefore, parent feedback on the program evaluations is very important to the success of our program and the satisfaction of our families.
